These puppies are a true Willow’s Australian Labradoodle line. They are sixth generation puppies born from our own girls, all raised and loved in this same whelping pool. Willow, Betty, Matilda, Pippa, Lyra and now these babies. Every mother, grandmother and great-grandmother has been part of our family and has passed on her beautiful nature. This is very special to us. With a strong multi generational line, we can be confident in the temperaments, health, coats and structure of these puppies. We know this line inside out and we expect them to grow into the calm, loving and well balanced dogs that Willow’s is known for.
Dad is Ripley’s Barnaby, please check out their website for his information.
Pregnancy Confirmed
Pregnancy has been confirmed by ultrasound for Lyra and Barnaby, and we believe we can see around seven to eight puppies growing nicely.
Lyra’s Puppies Have Arrived
Lyra’s puppies have been born and she is a fantastic mum. She has not left their side and is doing everything a good mum should do. We hope you enjoy watching the puppy cam and seeing your puppy’s first days. It is a very special time.
We have two smaller puppies in the litter who we are keeping a close eye on. This is normal with a large litter. We do everything we can to support every puppy, making sure they are feeding well, kept warm and gaining weight. For this reason, please be mindful when sharing the puppy cam with children. Sometimes young children can find it upsetting if a tiny puppy needs extra help. It is important to remember that this is nature and we give every puppy the very best chance.
We try to avoid putting collars on the puppies at this early stage. We want you to enjoy watching the whole litter without focusing on one puppy too soon. Collars will be added later when the puppies are older and stronger. Sometimes we will place a collar on a puppy we are monitoring, but only if needed. Please try not to fixate on which puppy is which at the moment. Their coats change quickly and many of the red puppies will deepen in colour as they grow.
We expect some of the red / caramel puppies may look similar to Barnaby’s and his white markings, but this will develop with age. Roan puppies are born almost white and their red patches appear gradually, so we will add examples to show how their colours usually mature.
We will continue to update this page with photos and videos of Lyra and her puppies. If you have a question, please email us. If it is something other families may also find helpful, we will add the answer here so everyone can keep informed.
